Description

The Conservation Department is composed of the Conservation Laboratory and the Digital Imaging Laboratory, whose joint responsibility is to maintain and make available research materials in the Frick Art Reference Library. The Library consists of the general and special collections, the photoarchive, and The Frick Collection and Helen Clay Frick Foundation Archives. The Department is also responsible for Henry Clay Frick’s private library on view in the Collection. The Conservation Laboratory is equipped to perform major and minor conservation treatments and preservation of books, paper, and photographic materials.
